Ricoh Women’s British Open
Hosted by the Royal Lytham and St Annes Golf Club.
The Ricoh Women’s British Open is one of the golfing highlights of the sporting calendar with the 42nd Championship heading back to Royal Lytham for its fifth appearance at the iconic venue from 2 – 5 August 2018. The event changes location every year (last summer in Lytham St Annes was 2009) so if you’re local and want to catch it, your best bet is to pop down whilst it’s here.
1940s Wartime Festival
Lytham turns the clock back in mid-August by 70 years, and thousands of visitors descend on the town for the annual Lytham 1940s Wartime Festival.
Go back in time to the war years of the 1940s, featuring historic vehicles, music, and dance of the period, memorabilia, thrilling battles and living history camps.
Blackpool Livewire Festival
With the gates opening at 4 pm and the music going until 10:30 pm, you wont want to miss the live music event at Blackpool Tower Festival Headland.
The official line-up (as of now) is Mariah Carey, Boyz II Men, and Matt Goss
St Annes Kite Festival
The kite festival starts with a launch event on Friday evening from 7.00pm until 9.30pm. On Saturday & Sunday the festival runs from 11.00am to 5.00pm both days. Look for the kites on St Annes Beach, close to St Annes Pier. You can even bring your own Kite and join in the fun!
